Get There

Car

The Prom is a three hour drive from Melbourne and approached along the South Gippsland Highway, turning off at either Meeniyan or Foster. The park entrance is 224 km from Melbourne and 29 km from Foster. It is another 30 km from the entrance to the park center at Tidal Creek.

Bus

If you don’t have your own transport, V-Line buses operate between Melbourne and South Gippsland several times daily. There is then a connecting bus between Foster and Wilsons Promontory National Park, click here for the online timetable.

Tours

You can also take an organised tour from Melbourne or Phillip Island. Bunyip Tours runs a day trip out of Melbourne for $120. There are also a few great online offers for tours to the Prom from Melbourne, like the Wilsons Promontory Day Trip from Melbourne, a nearly 13 hour coach day-trip including a local guide, hotel transfers and park fees for $115 per person. The 2-Day Phillip Island and Wilsons Promontory Tour from Melbourne visits both these popular areas including an overnight stay on Phillip Island, meals, local guide, hotel transfers and park fees for around $290 per person.
