Cyclones

Cyclones (called Hurricanes in the northern hemisphere and Typhoons in Asia) are a constant and serious wet season threat, although they can actually occur at most times of the year. Apart from their dangerous life threatening aspect, they can of-course potentially disrupt your travel plans. However they do provide a level of thrill for a certain type of traveller and to experience one will certainly give you a few stories to tell your grandchildren! But it must be stressed that all caution must be taken in the event of a cyclone, or nearing cyclone, and all advice from local authorities must be followed exactly at all times.
